USEL-Midwest Teams Showcase Their Talents at the 2023 USEL WRO Open in Upland, California.

USEL-Midwest sent four teams to World Robot Olympiad US Open, hosted in the stunning Southern California region.  Incredible performances led to three podium finishes.  All four teams competed in the RoboMission category, across three different age groups.  The Cleaners and Retro Wizards took on the challenge of the junior age group.  Dynamic Duo entered the elementary age group.  B & G Bot Factory, the youngest team at the event, took part in the starter age group. 

The Cleaners finished 2nd at the USEL WRO US Open RoboMission Junior category. We are so proud of this brother and sister team!  Zarif and Zara have demonstrated incredible problem solving, dedication, and teamwork.

The RetroWizards finished 3rd at the USEL WRO US Open RoboMission Junior category in California. Kirby and Quinn are hard working and it shows in their podium finish.  Congratulations!

Team Dynamic Duo finished 9th at the USEL WRO US Open RoboMission Elementary category despite losing a robot part in one round (Top 5 would otherwise have been achieved!). Sweera and Kaleia showed us how to persevere. Good luck in your other upcoming competitions.

Team B & G Bot Factory multiple achievements at the USEL WRO US Open in California. This team together finished 1st in the RoboMission Starter category beating out 14 teams and are invited to represent Team USA in Denmark in September. Congrats B&G Bots! In addition Gilbert brought home another trophy finishing 3rd in the SumoBot category while Benton finished top 10 in SumoBots. What a couple of super 7 year olds!!
